Where do you photograph? We shoot in your pet's home, backyard, and/or a nearby outdoor space - wherever he or she will be the most comfortable. We try to photograph with natural light whenever possible, but we'll use studio lighting and backdrops if needed. We currently shoot in the New York City tri-state area and in the San Francisco Bay Area and invite you to contact us to talk about scheduling a photo session! What takes place during a shoot? When we arrive at your location we take time to get to know your pet and let your pet become comfortable with us. We'll choose the best settings for your pet's portrait and then click away! We take as many pictures as are needed to capture the best possible shots of your pet. How long is a shoot? Our shoots take an average of 1-2 hours to complete from beginning to end, (if we change locations or if the pet needs to take a little break it can take a bit more time.) We always respect the needs and the mood of your pet. Do you offer different packages? Yes! The "Fun in the Sun Session" includes: - A pre-shoot phone meeting and location selection - A personalized photo shoot of your pet in an outdoor location, lasting up to one hour - Post-shoot access to a private, on-line proof site of up to 20 images - A keepsake CD of low resolution proof images for personal viewing and e-mailing - Two archival 5"x7" prints or one 8"x10" custom print, professionally retouched and color corrected The "Sitting Pretty Session" includes everything offered in the "Fun in the Sun Session" PLUS these upgrades: -Your personalized photo session can last up to 2 hours, in the comfort of your pet's home environment. This allows for plenty of time to change indoor settings, change lighting set ups, and move to a nearby outdoor location if desiired -Up to 40 images on your private on-line proof site -Two additional archival, exhibition quality 5"x7" prints or one additional 8"x10" print We also have an "a la carte" menu of custom prints in various sizes and photo products you may order after you've made your final image selections! Do I participate in the shoot? Yes! Your pet might put on its best face and strike the best pose for his or her best friend - you! Can I be in a photo with my pet? You sure can. We wait until the end of the photo session to let the humans take part, if they'd like to. Just let us know in advance. When will I receive my proofs, and then my final prints and products? You may access your personal on-line proof site within three weeks of the shoot. Then, two to three weeks after you have made your final image selections you will receive your final prints and products. All proofs and prints are custom color-corrected and custom retouched (as needed.) Can I give a photo shoot as a gift? Yes! Just contact us and we'll create a gift certificate for the lucky recipient. I'd love to hear news and updates about your work. Do you have a mailing list I can join? We do! You can e-mail us here and we'll be happy to add you to the mailing list for our e-newsletter. Beth Burstein Pet Photography retains all negatives, digital files, and all copyrights to them. These will be safely archived for future additional print and product orders, which can be placed at anytime! |
